Tierra de Barros is known for its reddish clay soil over limestone, creating a fertile, nutrient-rich environment. Thanks to our privileged climate, this land has become the wine capital of the region. From its vineyards, we source the grapes for our wines and cavas. Our expert growers cultivate over 300 hectares to supply the raw materials that shape every bottle.

Historically, Pardina and Cayetana grapes dominated the region, but we have embraced innovation, encouraging new varieties such as Macabeo and Verdejo for whites, and Garnacha, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon for reds. Most of our wines — crianza and reserva — come from 20+ year-old Tempranillo vines grown traditionally.

Tierra de Barros is also one of the four regions in Spain with the exclusive D.O. Cava. Thanks to our tradition and strict production standards, Viñedos de Almendralejo has become a national reference for cava production.

From the endless rows of vineyards, 40 hectares belong to us, used to produce Xarel-lo Cava, one of the most distinctive cavas in the Comarca de Barros.
